Top 3 Travel Podcasts to Inspire Your Next Trip
Need something to listen to on your next long flight?
What about some inspiration for your next travel adventure?
Tripology is easily my favorite travel podcast. I found them through their episode about working holidays visas. The hosts, Adam and Alun, are two best friends who met on the road and their camaraderie is a joy to listen to.
They cover a wide range of travel topics relating to backpackers and longterm travelers. They both have an incredible way with words and I never finish an episode without a laugh. They are currently traveling through India together and still putting out weekly episodes. I am slowly making my way through all 81 and I recommend them all!
Zero to Travel is a great listen if you’re looking for inspirational, aspirational, and educational travel content. Jason is a great interviewer and has a really incredible lineup of guests, including some people I follow on Instagram!
I really appreciate the gentle pushback on some guests, like Harry Mitsidis, who tried to say he offsets the environmental impact of traveling to every country in the world twice by smiling at people!
My favorite episodes recently have been two with Eric Weiner, the author of “The Geography of Bliss” and a former NPR correspondent. I’m also excited to listen to a recent episode with Paige McClanahan because I just finished (and loved) her book “The New Tourist”.
Geobreeze is a must-listen for points and miles enthusiasts! When I first started in the game, I was consuming every piece of content I could and Julia Menez’s podcast is the most engaging and practical, with less off-topic chitchat.
Episodes delve into how to get the most value from different point currencies, break down the best choices for flying to specific destinations, and interview big names in the points and miles world about their overall strategy.
I recommend going through older episodes to search for topics that apply to your situation (but always do follow up research because things change quickly with points and miles).
I’m always looking for new travel content, let me know if there are any podcasts you recommend!
